We leave Horse as guardian and a tribute to him on this page. He's gone , but not forgotten. Horse, of course. A lovely feral kitty. Who was gracious enough to share some of his life with us.

04/12/07. Meet the newest baby in the family Ninotchka! She was a rescue. Came to live with us in November 07 at the age of 3 months. She is 95% blind. And must have her worse eye taken out on May 9, 2007. She is the sweetest pastel calico! She is pictured here in her little T shirt (to help heal the wounds on her back from an infection). She is a gentle loving little soul and let's me medicate her eyes and her wound each day. We love her so much!Meet Frosty! She will be one year old on May 1, 2007! We got her when she was about 8 weeks old. Frosty was found on the side of the road with her siblings. She had eye damage in one eye so severely they had to remove it. Her remaining only has about 10% vision in it. She is a really affectionate little kitty. Always wants to be on your lap or by your side. We thank Nancy Jo for fostering her until we were able to adopt her. She is just a joy to have in the house! And Mr. Boink is her best friend now! See Frosty's Pic below.

We had been fostering to kitties from my feral colony. Francis and Jude a brother and sister. Both were very ill with upper respiratory infections and eye infections. Actually, There eyes were sealed shut when we went to trap them. After lots of medications, nice baths and much love, they were adopted! Thank you Denise and her family for taking them in. I want to thank Laurie and Denise for feeding our colony during the week also and Laurie for taking Smudge in when she was litte! See Francis and Jude's Pic below! I really miss them, but so happy they stayed together.

NOTHING stops this little fellow. He is so sweet and is not afraid of anything at all! He actually learned to climb a flight of 12 steps up to my second floor and eats like there is no tomorrow. Plays with the big cats (Even Mr. S'more's the 20 lb'er) and jumps and runs (and fall lots) but he is so full of energy and doesn't let his handicap get him down. Actually, he doesn't even know he has a disability! He also only has one eye. The other had to be removed because of severe infection.
Mr. S'more's Esq is now going on 3 yrs old and the animal warden found him and brought him to the DCSPCA where I adopted him! He is blind in his left eye and had some brain damage due to being hit by a car and left on the road when the Animal Warden found him. He gets around very, very well. Here are a couple of pic's of S'mores. He was 5 months old on January 9th of '06. Very big for his age! He was about 9 lbs then! Now below that is Mr. S'more's today. He weighs about 23.8 lbs now! He's getting along with everyone in the house. LOL but is also playing daddy to wee Boink!

I wanted to tell you the story of how we came to adopt our 3 sister cats. My dearest Boo and sweet Watty who have since passed away (see her memorial page below) and Baby! All feral kitty's. All sister's and all part Maine Coon! Then we adopted our dear Binky! Boo, Baby, below at 3 yrs. (Boo and Baby are 4 now and look the same) Binky below at 2 yrs who is 3 now and still looks the same. I know Poddy and Watty had a hand err..paw in this. So read on and meet them. Thank "Mew"

Introducing Boo, Baby And our Binky! All rescue kitty's.

Boo and Wattle are feral kitten's. My vet Doc Garner had taken in many feral kitties and he really needed homes for them. Luckily, my dear sweet Poddy girl's spirit (and I really feel she did this) prompted me to blurt out "I'll take those two kitty's".

Now I didn't want to bring home 2 kitties right now, afterall, I am still grieving my sweet Poddy. However, the deed was done, two more kitties saved and brought to a very good home, thanks to Dear Poddy! They were such good company for me. I laughed when I played with them. They smiled too! -:) They were happy kitties indeed. They had mega toys, food and most of all I loved them very much!

And a picture of Baby who had also just turned 2 yrs old at the time and is now 5 and basically looks the same. As does Binky..

Watty at 6 months! She use to follow me about the house like a wee pup! She indeed, was the rascal of the pair.

Here is Boo at 6 months! Boo had just learned how to meow! She was very skittish. Boo is old in her ways. She is meditative and has very wise eyes.

Boo and Watty at 11 weeks

Here is Wattle aka Watty at 8 weeks. No their eyes aren't green, they are a lovely tan color, however, my camera didn't see them that way!

Boo at 8 weeks

Now you just might be asking yourself how did these wee furbabies obtain such weird names eh? Well, I always call loved ones Boo, you see it's a term of endearment with me. My Sweet Poddy I called Boo, my friends kids I call Boo. I call lots of critters Boo. Also she reminded me of Boo Radley! You know, one of the character's in "To kill a Mocking Bird". Boo never came out remember! Neither did my Boo from under the couch that is for quite a few days! So Boo it was for one of them.
Horse was named after the cat in the Murray Ball books. Horse is quite the character in those books. Heck, he's quite the character in real life too! -:)

Well, talk about sevenx fur grenades! WOW! They still keep me jumpin' from morning til night! I swear they are on pogo sticks on my bed. Of course, they can sleep during the day, I can't. But all are handicapped in some way, except for Mr. Mau. However, that does not stop them from playing and being ever so happy!
Remember, never let your furbabies outside unless you have them on a leash, kitty's, dog's or other creature's are your responsibility! *Fish not included in leash statement* giggle! And if you have a feral outside, make sure they have a warm place to stay and plenty of food and water. Also please do TNR (Trap,Neuter and Return) if you cannot socialize them.
Check back often and hear some of their adventures and see how their socialization is going and life in general is going. Thank Mew

Ya know, it's nice to have the pitter patter ( or sometimes sounding like a heard of elephants!) of 28 feet in the house! I love all my furbabies so very much!
