She is gentle and an older kitty so she would like to spend the rest of her years with you! Pictured below is Zaire. A gentle loving soul with diabetes. Zaire can live a good life for a long time with diabetes. He just needs a special person who will take good care of him. In return he will give you so much love you can't even imagine. If you are that special person please adopt dear Zaire.Thank Mew!

Below is our dear Hanna. She is a wonderful brown tabby. Gentle and sweet. She needs to eat special IVD food. YUMMY! and if you can adopt this special kitty she'll be your best friend. Thank Mew!

We have many babies and other kitty's ready for adoption. Dogs too of course. And 3 ferrets and a bunny! So if you can help one of these gentle creatures, please bring one (or more) into your home. Thank Mew so very much for being kind to animals. Our best friends.

Now a couple of notes from Cheryl who works so hard with these companion animals each and every day at the shelter. Cheryl is a very dedicated worker and saves many lives! She not only takes care of the kitty's ready for adoption, but she also works in isolation with the sick kitty's to make them healthy! She has asked me to share these with you. So please read on.

"I have a request for all the people who visit your site. Tell them when they find kittens in the wild to leave them alone until they get the mom too if they are going to bring them to a shelter. The fatality rate of dying kittens is too high this time of year. And when the kittens have no mother their chances of survival drop even more!

Moms go hunting for food but do return to their young. Sometimes they are gone all day. They cant go to Shoprite, now can they?

If you take the kittens from the mom at an early age, you will kill them. The airborne infection is too great for a baby to handle. If a day or so passes by and no mom, then by all means, bring them to the shelter. We want to give each baby a chance to survive.

Another thing to consider is the mom. Can you imagine going out to hunt for food and returning to nothing? People don't understand the manic depression states a mom goes through when her kittens are missing. I have seen them shut down and will themselves to die. Thanks for the help."

So remember, if you are going to bring kittens to a shelter, please remember to bring momma along with them! Of course if momma does not return, as Cheryl says, then you have no choice, but if you do, bring the whole family in together." Thank you so much Cheryl for this very good advice.

We want to let you know we have made some great improvements at the shelter. Come up and see our new free range sun room! WOW! I'd like to be sunning in there! LOL! So please come in to see us and become a guardian! Remember we have over 200 kittys right now. Please don't forget the kitty's who have been there for a while too. They sure would like to go to a loving home very soon. So please adopt, the love you get in return will be unconditional!

I have left this photograph on in loving memory of Our Dearest Sheba. She was about 9 yrs old. She came to the shelter on September 27, 2002 because her owner could not keep her anymore. She was a brown and white tiger and a domestic shorthair. She was a very sweet and loving kitty. She lived in a home for 8 yrs and our dear Sheba deserved to have a good home once again. Now she does in Rainbow Bridge. You can rest and play in the sun once again Sheba. You've gotten a good home now. You're in God's Home.My dear Sheba.....
